일요일에, 정확하게 월요일 새벽에 하는 '클래식 오딧세이' 마지막 곡이 내 귀와 눈을 사로잡았다. 왠지 낯익은 여자와 Pleasant Vill의 아버지 역으로 나오는 듯한 분위기를 풍기는 남자가 그리 어울리지 않는 커플이 듀엣으로 노래를 부르고 있다. 낯익은 여자가 Nicole Kidman이란걸 알았고 예상밖으로 감미로운 목소리를 갖고 있었다. 두 남녀는 묘한 앙상블로 이렇게 속삭인다. "I go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like I love you" (당신을 사랑한다는 어리석은 말로 모든걸 망치고 있어요.) 뮤직비디오에서 두 사람의 눈빛은 서로 사랑하고 있음을 말하고 있다, 굳이 말을 하지 않아도. 스윙풍의 재미난 분위기의 음악 제목을 휘발성이 강한 내 머리에 집어 넣었다.
이틀이 지나 머릿속에서 희미한 가락이 떠다닌다. 바로 그 노래였다. 무슨 stupid였는데 ... 검색을 해 보니,
